PhotoStory Friday & a bedtime story

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

If you give our Little Mouse a cold,

She's going to need to watch Sleeping Beauty........ in a sleeping bag, with a crown pillow, drinking her favorite grape koolaid while eating pretzels for breakfast.

After she drinks all of that koolaid,

She'll need to tinkle on the practice potty that you left on the landing before you had a chance to put it away!

Nate and I were talking in the kitchen a few mornings ago when all of a sudden Sophie sings out, "Mooommmmmmy, I need some toilet paper!"

I was sitting in view of the actual bathroom, so I was completely intrigued as to what she was up to. Of course when I saw I couldn't stop laughing and made her sit there while I grabbed the camera.

Sophie is going to love me for this someday! Us moms get to have our fun too you know. But really it's just that totally satisfied --so proud of herself-- smile that I couldn't resist. Now that's a WC!

(Think this could be a part of the next book in the "Give a Mouse a Cookie series?")

When they are sick they are princesses aren't they. She sure is a cute one. I've been attempting the potty with the girl, but no real results yet.

What a cutie! The good news, from my spot, is she is on her way to being trained! Wish I could say that. :)

She does look like a princess!

I also have posted my PSF. You can read it HERE.

Happy Friday!

Fantastic!! She's beautiful. Love the pictures and the story.

That is hilarious!

I hope she is feeling better now.

And yes, she is going to "love" you later for that one. Pull it out on her first date. That'll chase him away...but only if he is kind of scary and you want him to go away. If he is a sexy doctor or something...well, better hold off.

Oh, most certainly it could be made into the next book in the series!!!! Especially with photos like those!

She is adorable...who can resist a smile like that? That's one for the senior salute page in the yearbook for sure!!

Great PSF!!

Oh what beautiful blackmail photos. You won't ever have to show them, only hint that you will.

What a cutie with her little crown pillow.

You commented on my page and asked what Pioneer Day is. Pioneer day is the 24th of July and is a holiday here in Utah because it's the day, in 1847, that the pioneers first came into the Salt Lake Valley. This migration eventually resulted in the area becoming a state. Hope your daughter can forgive you for this blog someday!

Do NOT lose these pictures. They will be worth their weight in gold someday. No, I'm not above blackmailing my own children.

Clever post! I can't tell you how relieved I am that the stair well isn't the permanent home of the potty! :)

how cute! She looks so proud to have used her big girl potty even if it was on the landing.

I have posted a "mouse" themed post before. I asked hubby to get a printer before and it ended up being a $$$$ thing.

Thank you thank you thank you! for all of the comments!! Love them!
Just to clarify: I often leave things on the landing that need to be upstairs when I don't feel like just going up to put them away: clean laundry, toiletries from Target, and in this case-a potty chair that is no longer needed because Sophie has graduated to the regular toilets in the house!

Sophie got really clever while I was just being lazy!

Great post!! And what a funny story!!! Hey, I'm thinking at least she made it to the potty. Who cares where it happened as long as the pee made it IN the POTTY and not all over the floor or in her pants, right?!

I thought you were talking about the "If you give a moose a muffin" book, which sounds very similar.

~Must re-borrow that book from the library, it's a hoot!
