Call me Dorothy.

I am soooooooooo not in the mood to re-enact the Wizard of Oz right now.
Tell that to my stupid cable provider. Not only was my internet down for over a week over Christmas, but it turns out that I had the capabilities of fixing it myself ALL ALONG. Sometimes you have to learn it for yourself--stupid ruby slippers.
So, all of my 25 days of Christmas posts will have to be Christmas memory posts instead. If I get to them.

In the meantime, I've got a birthday to get ready for--Sophie is turning 4! LOTS of big changes coming--YIKES! Now that the house is calm, Christmas is erased, cookies are consumed, and bellies are flopping ALL over the place, I am ready to tackle the new year.

One thing needs to stay the same though- the look of this blog. I just don't feel myself with any other look--AND--I can only handle so much change at once. Need to tread softly here, we are moving in to new uncharted territory. Pre-kindergarten. Not just preschool, but she's actually going to be a Pre-K kid. Holy cats. Holy Holy Holy cats, Scarecrow!

Stay tuned.
Oh, and Happy New Year! I can't wait to see what '09 brings --whoohoo for clean slates!

Here's one for the road: Sophie was so excited to help me bake over Christmas that on this night she couldn't keep her mouth closed or her arms down. The jokes on her though because no matter how she poses I still think she's fantastically sparkling. (You can click on the picture to see an up-close view--it's a little small in the post.)

OK maybe not-well just squint your eyes. What in the world did I do to P-O my computer anyway?

I'm being followed! WHOOHOO!

When it comes to monitor size and memory my BIG computer kicks my lap top's butt. This is my main computer, so all of my faves, scrapbooks, and fun stuff are on this computer--including a list of all of the blogs I love to read regularly. For some reason, Sophie does not like my big computer. She doesn't mind if I sit with my laptop in the family room to read blogs-or even if I take it upstairs before bed to chit-chat on the mom boards. But, if I were to go into the living room to the 'big' computer after dinner? She's in my lap and won't leave me alone. I get to read nothing--unless Mickey Mouse or Nickelodeon websites are involved.
See why I want to teach her how to read? How fun will it be when she can really start using her computer?
So, if I want to play catch-up with bloggie friends other than at 5AM-the little laptop it is. What a pain to keep up with my blog rolls and add favorites to both computers-never mind the fun stuff I can't do on the little laptop-like scrap booking.

I noticed this morning however that 2 people are following me.
I have no idea how long they have been there. WHOOHOO for finally paying attention! Has this feature been here for awhile?
Now, I get to start adding all of my fave blogs right in my very own dashboard. No matter what computer I go to--I'll be able to find you. All I have to do is sign in-whoohoo! I'm so excited. It may take a couple of days to get everyone in there, but hallelujah--no more blog rolls. I'm simply going to follow you instead. YEE HAW! It is very twitter-esque.

Now, just waiting for some commentluv to become compatible with blogger and I won't miss one important post-from anyone who stops by.

Just practicing...........size still matters....

I've been wondering about the size of the pictures I keep seeing in the WW meme and the PSF games I play. How do you get such giant pictures in your posts????? When I use the blogger 'add image' button, I get to choose from small, medium, and large. The large is the size I used for today's WW. You can barely see Jack because it's so small.

Then it hit me! Edit Html! I can add pictures using an IMG SRC code from photo hosts! I use photobucket for my backgrounds and blog layouts, but I use picturetrail for slide shows. Heeeeeellllllllllo, McFly!
I've only had those slide shows for how long? About a month after I started blogging. DUH! WHOOHOO for me! It only took me all of about 10 months to figure this one out! Not only that, but I also figured out if you click on the picture you can go to the actual album and see LOTS of pictures-and comment on them with smileys! Great, that's what I need--a brand new obsession to distract me even more! Oh well-who doesn't love these computers?

SO! Here is a NEW WW of the same Jack! NOW you can really see some detail!

Yeah for me! I learned something NEW today! Whooohoo!
